1. Make groups of 5 people each.
2. Each group will draw one of 4 work ethic guidelines (trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, and caring)
3. Each group will have 5 minutes to prepare to present their ethic guidelines.
Of course, you can just read them but the most creative team will win candy.

Guided Lesson:
Business ethics is not only what you should do or not do; it is also knowing when your company is trying to get you to do something that is wrong and saying "no". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUCSK1QFwts&feature=related

The two characters do not realize until the end of the movie that scaring children for a living is wrong. Why do you think they took so long to come to that conclusion?

Independent Work:
While you may think one or two small unethical behaviors may not be important, employers take a different view. Many people are out of work so it is an easy decision for your supervisor to fire you if you do something wrong and get a new employee.

Let's take a look at what proper and improper behavior looks like in the workplace.

4. We are going to work on workplace ethics/etiquette project on page 1.
After reviewing the "Work Ethic Guidelines" draw or create on the computer the "Perfect Employee". Choose and label 2 of each of the ethic categories (trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, and caring), choose and label 1 cell phone etiquette behavior, and choose "dressing neatly" from the etiquette list. These 10 items are worth 10 points each.

5. When you finish your ethics/etiquette visual graphic, work on the "Everyone is a Manager...You Manage Yourself" paragraph. Write in short answers after the questions and then answer the gray box ethical question.

Homework: Don't forget to bring the $10.00 Business Fee
