Learning Goal: Understand Holland Codes

Bell Ringer:
1. Students will get name tags and worksheets
2. Open up your Multiple Intelligences PowerPoint and write down your top 2 intelligences on the worksheet at your desk.
3. Look at the definition slides for your top 2 intelligences.

Guided Exercise:
Miss W will explain the new fire drill policy.

Miss W will discuss another self-assessment inventory.

Independent Exercise:
Students will take 2 forms of the Holland Codes (one written and one visual) and write down the top 2 categories for each assessment.

6. When you get your results copy and paste to a new PowerPoint file and name the file Holland Code. Here are what results could look like:

Realistic: 5 *lowest
Investigative: 10
Artistic: 13 *highest
Social: 8
Enterprising: 10
Conventional: 13 *highest

Your Holland Codes are as follows:
7. Click on these codes and you will see sample jobs.
8. Pick 2 jobs that sound interesting and type the job title on your PowerPoint slide.

10. The students will then do a small group verbal presentation of their results.
